Sometimes little bugs can have big implications. That’s the message of TechCrunch’s new article on Remine’s security features: 

“The company… claims it has data ‘on 150 million properties across all 50 states.’ But that data was only a few clicks away from being easily accessible, thanks to a misconfigured system.”

Such vulnerability could’ve resulted in costly ramifications for Remine. User information, private keys, secrets, passwords and tons of other company information and databases would likely have been leaked or exploited, causing lasting damage to the company’s reputation and consumer trust.
